hey all!

Quick question, what would you recommend for Level 2 prep? I already have UWorld and Combank, and looking to add a book or two.

What are some pro's, con's or insights on : Master the Boards vs Step Up to Step 2 vs First Aid Step 2 vs Crush Step 2 vs USMLE Secrets Step 2 ?

Which book do you prefer? If you used more than one, what did you use them for? I used FA Step 2 for OB/Pedes, I liked it, but hated it for everything else because its all over the place.

Thank you so much for all your help!

Out of that list, MTB gets used most often but I haven't looked at any of them. I'm not taking Level 2 until the end of July but I'm planning on just using UWorld, Savarese, and might skim Step Up to Medicine again and maybe some OnlineMedEd. Just banking on the fact that I studied hard for the comats with rotation specific materials.

I never saw the allure of those incomplete Step 2/Level 2 textbooks. Yeah, it's nice to flip through pages sometimes but at what cost? All of those books are incomplete and leave so much to be desired. MTB, for example, has glaring omissions and will not cover all of the topics frequently tested.

Imo, you should go through the OnlineMedEd videos once to get the overview of most topics. Dr. Dustyn Williams is the man! He has a way of simplifying complex topics into simple algorithms that just makes it easier to memorize. Then, hit up UWorld doing 40 questions a day and jotting down notes along the way. With 2 weeks to go, use OMG OMT and do all of the OMM content. If you've done this, you will be ready and won't need to shell out hundreds of dollars for textbooks that don't even cover every topic.
