I am an MS4 who failed the PE the first time for not being humanistic enough. I retook the PE this past December and prepped by using the COMBANK PE videos and found out today that I passed. While I don't necessarily agree with the Kaufmann's approach to taking an H&P and performing a PE, I do think his humanistic approach is spot on. Since a fair number of people fail the humanistic portion of the PE, I think watching the videos for that reason is reason enough. You also get a good number of scenarios (20 if I remember correctly) and I actually did find myself learning some medicine from his encounters.
In summary you don't necessarily need the videos to pass the PE, his book alone might enough; doing the videos, however, def won't do you a disservice, especially if you're concerned over the humanistic domain.
If anyone has anymore questions, I'd be happy to answer any messages.
