Do you have to drape every patient or just the ones where you do an abdominal exam? It seems silly to drape a patient who will never be exposed, but everything I read says to drape everyone.
Just drape appropriately and you will be fine... I don't really know how you are supposed to drape someone to do a CV exam. However, I would say you are going to be doing an abdominal exam on the majority of your patients... it is related to pretty much every complaint.
I draped a patient every time they had to lie down on the exam table, so either for OMM, abdominal exam, or examining legs and feet while supine. I did not drape for ent/card/resp exam. This worked out just fine for me.
