I heard from other students that 2 out of the 12 cases that we do are dropped and not counted in our score. Has anyone else heard this? Do they randomly drop cases, or they drop the 2 lowest scores?
Really what motive do they have to pass you until they are completely booked all the time when the new DO schools open. That test is total garbage. Call a spade a spade and just tell us: "we're charging you more money because we can and we're greedy and have to employ people that couldn't actually practice in the real world"
What kind of general OMM stuff did you have to know, like ME for stuff, FPR, or myofascial? 7 stages of spencer or whatever, i think the OMM scares me more than anything.
I just found out that I passed too😀. I am so relieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was by far the worst exam EVER. I was sure I failed. I have no idea how they grade this exam, but I'm so glad I never have to take the PE again.
When our school had a practice PE for us, the doctor leading the practice session kept stressing that it was graded globally- you can make a few mistakes on a few patients, but overall have to pass all the domains. I can tell you that I thought of a million things I wish I had done differently on every single patient. I really messed up on three patients. I ran out of time writing the soap note on most patients and I ran out of room to write the subjective part on a lot of patients too, when I ran out of room, I just stopped writing the subjective stuff and moved on to the next section. I took it in the afternoon and the proctors were absolutely totally amazing and awesome. I'd highly recommend taking it in the afternoon, the proctors helped to allay a lot of my test anxiety.
