I am currently Comlex Level 2 PE review guide by M. Kauffman, and I am wondering if it is correct as the book does and to NOT document a ROS for our patients? I noticed that the practice notes entirely omitted this section in the book.

I did not do a separatr ROS section and just included pertinent systems in the HPI section.

Kauffman's book is pretty spot-on for PE review; FYI I've heard there's some PE review videos in the works that he made.

I didn't feel it was especially pertinent to include a separate ROS section on any of the PE SOAP notes. There is limited time both during the encounter and while writing; while you should go through a few quick questions head/toe before moving on from the history it would be painstaking and somewhat impossible to include a proper ROS section while documenting.

Your hand will be dead by the end of the day. Be sure to grip the pen properly.
