commitee letter question

My amcas has been verified, im just waiting for my committee letter to be complete. I talked to the teacher yesterday who is drafting it. I was wondering if anyone knew by what methods school commitee letters are sent to AMCAS? Does this happen via some online method instantanesouly? Or does it have to be mailed the old fashion way. And if it must be mailed how long will it take amcas to locate my commitee letter and apply it to my application so that schools can see its present?

Your school can mail it or use an electronic service like VirtualEvals/Interfolio. Doing it online will allow your letters to be processed faster

Premed committee send letter to Interfolio/Vevals (6 years wait). Interfolio/Vevals forwards to AMCAS (~1-3 days). AMCAS forwards letters to schools (almost immediately).
