I just finished a post-bac that doesn't have a letter committee. My undergrad pre-med committee has agreed to write a composite letter for me, and told me to have all my other letter writers send letters to them. One of my post-bac profs doesn't want to participate in a committee letter ("they give applicants an unfair advantage"...), but assures me his letter is very positive.

Does anyone have experience sending a committee letter packet +1 individual LOR? Most schools I've looked at the requirements of are pretty ambiguous in this circumstance.

Um, so ... is he not looking out for your best interests? I agree with @Doug Underhill ... Forget the quirky professor.
