My undergrad institution's med school committee requires that you receive an LOR from 1 bio, 1 chem and 1 phys professor AT THE INSTITUTION before they write a composite letter for your med school application.
Seems simple enough right...no.
I transferred into this school and took 1 biochem class (Gen Chem and Orgo were taken elsewhere), class of 100+ students, professor had very limited office hours - in and out type deal. I took physics early on after transferring, again 100+student class, wasn't interested in med school at the time and I barely remember the professors myself. Finally, as a bio major I have people to ask for LOR's, but I have been out of school for a year so my professor ties aren't super strong. So, I basically have all of my LOR's in one subject field, which doesn't cut it for our letter writing service.
My question is, how bad would it look to adcoms if i were to forgo the horse and pony show and submit three individual letters?
