Committee Letter

I am really confused about the committee letter process. My pre-health advisor wrote me a committee letter but I am unsure if I should submit it by itself or I have to submit other letters as well. Because I am thinking since my advisor has already my other letters, it would be a compilation of all of them. Could someone please explain?

Generally a committee letter is adequate on its own and you do not have to submit anything else (not do we want to read any more letters after reading your 10+ page committee packet).
