I swear I had about five questions that all asked about why someone would have parasthesias of the limbs and mouth as well as tetany with tapping on the face after a thryoidectomy. Seriously thought I was taking the wrong test or something!! 😀

Up and Down Arrows for hormone physiology BP, or certain lytes, etc.
Tons of MRI's/ CTs of the brain basically asking where the infarct/damage was.

How pissed off was I that I had maybe 10 questions related to the subject of sildenafil and the role of NO in erections and vasodilation? 🙁

cytokines
renin-angiotensin system
know where major organs are on cts

crackles, fluid in lung sounds, wheezes blah blah
Can u differentiate between some of these and various pathology states, like rhales vs. crackles vs wheezes, etc. I mean, some are obvious, like wheezes in asthmatics, vs fluid in heart failure, etc. But, some of those lung sounds seems like they can be interchangable. Can we get a list with various pathology states?

I also had a lot of questions on sildenafil (probably 4 or 5), but not one single question on antibiotics or the psych drugs! Weird!

Thanks, idq1 and everybody else.

keep coming...

I just took USMLE Step 1 two days ago... Here's what I thought was hot.

PID
GYN - path, phys, pharm, micro
renal physiology
common bacteria and viruses. A couple parasites/helminths
Biochem - enzymes (deficiencies) and pathways
Practically all of my behavioral science were scenarios of "what would you say?" - but obvious and very easy
Path - a little bit of everything - alot of GYN and immunopath
Pharm - BIG STUFF..EASY
Anatomy - Only a couple of questions...very easy
Neuro - only a few were difficult...but overall not as many as I would have thought.
