So my computer crashed recently and I had to reinstall everything...problem is, I had the CDP program on there too, and now that's gone. Does anyone know if there is any way to get it back, or will I have to pay again (that would reeeeally suck)...?

Go to the CDP website and log in. Your account has all your serial numbers linked to it; you can re-download and re-register without problem or cost.

i think you can only activate the serial code once since it verifies it by internet. once u activate it, it's gone.


maybe their policy changed but when i asked them, they gave me the option of either buying it again (hahaha yea right, what a load of bs) or paying another 100 bucks to upgrade. 👎thumbdown👎

when i told them that someone on sdn got a free new serial code for giving a testimony, they told me they'll make an exception and only charge me 10 bucks for a new serial code.

i think these dat prep companies are taking this piracy issue a little too seriously and ripping off students in the process

This happened to me also.
CDP assigns a key to each computer. The program recognizes your computer based on some information obtained from its operating system. So, if after the crash you've installed a brand new version of the operating system, your previous key will no longer work. If this is the case, you can send them an e-mail with the confirmation you have received from prometric (so that they know you're really planing on taking the test and you're not trying to get a new key to sell it to someone else). Tell them what happened. They will charge you 19$ and assign you a new key.

If you haven't installed a new version of the operating system, however, you can simply login to your account on their website, download the setup file, and obtain your key. Then, simply install the program and use the key to unlock it.
