Does anyone know why COMP only only has a little over half of its 2008 class full?
Maybe because it costs a total of $2000 to reserve a seat. No one wants to pay the full thing until they are sure they are going there. Besides, the smaller the class the better to me. Their class is 200 people, which is high as it is.

how do we know the class is only half full?

i've seen all these references to that, but where did ya'll get that idea?

Most med schools dont fill their class until march/april because most are still interviewing at that time, including COMP. COMP only takes who they want, and wont start looking at wait-listers until they are FINALLY done interviewing.

Good luck!

COMP CLASS OF 2007

I found the info in the interview experiences page

Call me a skeptic, but I am not inclined to give much weight to a statement anonymously left by an interviewee.

The director of admissions told the people who were interviewnig (me included) last week that the class was half full (or half empty for you pessimists).

If you go to the current edition of the student newsletter (student affairs --> admissions) it says they have "approximately" 70 seats filled of the 176, and only 6 seats of the 30 for the Northwest track enrolled.
interesting...

I just read that too. Interesting. They don't have to many seats filled at all especially for the Northwest track. Probably after March 15 the number will increase.

yeah, it also seems like they've been accepting ALOT of people lately...so maybe these numbers are from january.

either way - we're in!
