Competitiveness: Psych vs. IM/Psych Combo

Whats the difference in competitiveness between IM/psych combo residency vs. regular psych residency, particularly with the same institution?

Dunno about psych/IM, but have heard psych/FM is significantly more competitive than either alone, and only shaves a year off the training of independent residencies, while taking away your choice to stop at one residency if you so choose.

Usually med/psych is slightly more competitive than the IM or psych residency at an institution.
