How much will you guys pay for a complete NEW MCAT Hyperlearning material set? By this I mean THE WHOLE set of books: MCAT Physical Sciences Review, MCAT Biological Sciences Review, MCAT Science Workbook, MCAT Verbal Workbook, MCAT Verbal Reasoning and Writing Reviews, etc.

One of my friends is selling me his TPR materials from 2009 for $300. They're pretty much brand new because he did't mark/scratch them at all. Is this a good deal or should I get them from e-bay?

That is a fair price. I bought a brand new, complete TPRH set on this website for $350. You should know, however, that the primary asset of TPRH is the science and verbal workbooks. Although TPR puts out high quality material, I would recommend purchasing TBR in addition to these workbooks if that is an option available to you.

Hey if you're interested in buying a 2010 TPR set, you can check out my thread

There's also someone else selling an '08 set BRAND NEW. Check out the advertisement section of this forum. and gl!

I picked up the set brand new for around $250 on eBay. 2009 set brand new and it started at $1 and there was a bidding war between me and some other premed. 😛

I absolutely love the pedagogy of TPR-HL and I think $300 is about $50 overpriced because I bid in a competitive, fair market and the market price (highest willing buyer, lowest willing seller) came to around $250. At the end of the day, just swallow the $50 and ante it up. If you resell the books for $150, you get half your money back. I have bought every mcat product and have been studying two years for my May 1st showdown. TPR-HL is my favorite because I like the style of author's engaging personality.
