Completing an entire SEQUENCE over the summer

The thing I like about UPenn is that you can complete the entire General Chemistry sequence over one summer.

But UPenn is WAY too expensive for me.

Does anyone know a cheaper {and good} university where I can complete either the entire General Chemistry or Biology or Physics or Organic sequence over a summer semester?

Of course the university needs to allow me to register as a visiting student.

You must be new around here. Usually I would just write a snarky little comment like, "gee, can't think of a single school" but *sigh*, I will actually answer your question. Almost every public university (and many private as well) will allow you to complete the entire two-semester sequence for any of those classes in only one summer. Also look into community college course offerings as well.

This. OP, many, if not all, offer most science sequences over the summer.

Actually of the five universities I checked, none offered the full sequence over the summer. By sequence I mean

phys 1&2
or chem 1&2
or bio 1&2

Most universities i know of do this,including my own, but im from Louisiana. And isn't it a little to late to sign up for this? Summer is almost over!

Both my private undergrad and public post-bacc school offered a full sequence of gen chem, orgo, and physics over the summer. I don't understand why you're having so much trouble, this is pretty common.

The perceive them basically the same as any other class you take. Your grade in the class is the important part, beyond that they're not going to think much about it one way or the other.

+1 I took o. chem I and II over the summer and it was never brought up in any of the interviews I went to.

As long as you don't try to take them all at a community college, you'd be fine.

The summer classes at Penn are not taught by TAs. And I don't know of a single person who would describe the Penn Chem I coursework to be "easy." The course does a wonderful job at preparing you for the MCAT, but the curve is harsh and the classes are pretty expensive.. Have you considered looking at Harvard Extension? They might have chem classes over the summer

Yeah I looked at Harvard Extension. Spoke to Dr. Fixsen. HES is a GPA destroyer. Their philosophy is to allow everyone in and then make it really really hard to do well. It's a sure way to be afflicted with GPA damage.
