hey all,

i'll be starting dental school in the fall and i was wondering if there's any advantage in completing the FAFSA early. I mean, other than the simple fact that you want to have it complete and out of the way early, are there any concrete benefits such as increased chances of getting some sort of scholarship/grant from the school or whatnot?

That is true ... until they run out of grant money. Talk to the financial people at your school.

It's a good idea to get it in as early as possible to ensure that your funds will be placed into your account in a timely fashion. After all, we are talking about the government and financial aid offices, to entities with many layers and many ways to have things get held up.
