I am trying to apply to dental school during summer 2014. And when I submit my application, I will have the following pre-requisites remaining (some of which I would be re-taking due to getting "W's" in those classes):

Physics II, Organic Chemistry II (re-taking), Microbiology (re-taking), plus Organic Chemistry Lab, and also Physics Lab.
So in total, I would have 5 pre-requisites remaining which I plan to take during the Fall 2014 semester (after submitting my application).
Yes, I can take some of them during Spring 2014 semester, but I don't want to ruin my GPA just incase I do bad.

Do you guys think it will be OK, and not looked down upon if I have 5 pre-reqs listed as "planned" courses?
Of course, I will complete them before matriculation (IF I get accepted anywhere).

My current GPA: (Overall GPA: 3.7) (Science GPA: 3.6)
My science will remain as is during time of application submission if I decide to take the remaining pre-reqs later on in the Fall 2014 semester.

Additional Details: I'm an accounting major, and a Texas resident. So if anyone that has applied to Texas schools and has been in a similar situation, I would love to hear what you think about this.
Thanks!

You're fine. I submitted my app with 4 prereqs in progress - chem 2 (retake), physio, anatomy, and biochem. Although, not all schools require all 4 of those.

I would be careful taking that many hard classes during the fall semester because you will have to be out of class a lot interviewing and might fall behind.

TX Resident here. I applied while taking Micro and Biochem, and with Physics 2 planned for next semester. I interviewed at all 3 schools. It was brought up in some way at all three schools (not necessarily in the interview), but it was not a problem.

You should take at least two classes in the Spring semester.

You're more likely to do bad if you cram all five classes in the fall semester.

Plus, I think dental school will wonder why you didn't take your pre-reqs during spring and summer semester.
