Hello,

Has anyone gotten an interview by email that has not shown up on ERAS? I just recently noted my emails on hotmail were going into the trash. I have changed my filter options on Sept 12, but do not know if programs sent me individual emails. Is it worth emailing all of them individually this early?

Thanks!

My understanding is that, by definition, all initial correspondence between programs and you occurs THROUGH ERAS, meaning that when you get an e-mail from a program it automatically gets saved as a "copy" on ERAS for you to see. That's the only way for them to get your e-mail address anyway. I've received a message from one program, and I noticed that the "to:" field contained an address with @aamc.org in it. This further suggests that programs contact us through ERAS. Of course, once you get an e-mail and then reply to it directly, future correspondence is unlikely to be through ERAS, and thus won't be saved in the system for future reference.

I got an email from SLU offering me an interview and my ERAS mailbox never got a copy of it. That is the only program so far that has contacted me via my personal email and not sent a copy to ERAS mailbox. So if you applied to ST. Louis University for anesthesiology I would definitely call them.

I got one invite by email that did not go through ERAS from Washington University in St. Louis, and a telephone call from EVMS for an interview.

I recieved a direct email for an interview. I didn't notice anything on the ERAS ADTS website. Where would the interview correspondence be filed on ERAS?

Best of luck to everyone.

I also recieved a direct email from a program that didnt show up on eras, but the other two emails were also on eras.

When you first log in to ERAS it gives you that "quick stats" box, which has a section called "message center." This will say "no new messages," or tell you that you have a message. To see your message box, just click the tab that says "messages," which is available under the main "account" tab. That's where copies of messages sent to you through ERAS will be saved.

I got a message on ERAS today that still has not shown up in my hotmail account. So this means that if I was contacted by other programs that did not go through the ERAS message I may have missed them? Do I call, or what?? Are ALL the messages on ERAS also sent to email??

PHone call from Colorado...can't understand message and nothing on my ERAS!!
