  1. Podiatry Student
I'm not too sure if anyone will have an answer for this or not. I interviewed at OCPM back in November and was given a conditional acceptance since I didn't take the MCAT. I was in my second year of graduate school before I decided I wanted to do Podiatry instead. I have taken the GRE and applied to Temple as well and was accepted based on my GRE scores.

I was told by the dean at OCPM that I needed to either take the GRE-subject test or the MCAT since they no longer accept the general GRE test. I had been studying to take the GRE BIO test, but I had a very unpleasant surprise when I went to register for it (registration was filled!) I was told that it was given 12 times a year, but it is really only given 3 times and now the next one isn't until October, so of course that is too late. I have registered for the may MCAT, but am very worried since it has been years since I have taken the basic sciences. I am also in the process of taking biochem now as well. So I am only going to have about 1 month or so to study for the MCAT.

My acceptance is based on an "acceptable MCAT" score, does anyone have any idea what is considered acceptable?

Thanks for any help guys.

I would aim for a 22 or so at least... It depends on your GPA and the rest of your application, but you can't go wrong with a higher score.

Edit: I wouldnt worry too much about the test. The average score for test takers is 24. I didn't study at all and did that well.

Call OCPM and ask them to define "acceptable." I was offered a conditional acceptance to DMU pending taking the MCAT. I asked what score I needed and once I knew I was able to relax and take the exam.

p.s., I think they mean that based on the strength of everything other than the exam, they already know that they want you!
