It's a very good program. Had many friends who went there. Its pretty competitive to get in now, even though its in its third (or fourth?) year.

Do residents get to place implants and do perio surgeries and full mouth rehab? What are some positives and negatives of the program?

Interviewed there recently and yes, residents regularly place and restore implants. No other dental specialty program at Coney so you don’t have to get cases passed over. perio surgeries do happen and you can take on any case you feel comfortable taking on it seems. Very rarely do they have to refer to a specialist, but that goes with any GPR / AEGD program.

1:1 assistants, no call (may change), very new, updated and modern dental clinic.

Cons: location isn’t the best, but that’s quite minor compared to all the strengths of the program

Thank you for your help. Do you know how long their rotations are? I read something on the site that says 65% of the time is spent in outpatient clinic, which seems very low. So does this mean the rest of the time is rotations?? My main goal is learning dentistry and it seems like this program’s rotations take almost half the year... any clarification would help , thanks
