I want to put a research activity I did over 2 summers under the same summer program for 2 poster presentations (one each summer) as one of my most meaningful activities. However, AMCAS only allows me to put one date when I classify the activity as "Posters/Presentations". So, do I classify the most meaningful activity as Research/Lab and then create 2 other activity entries, one for each poster presentation? Ultimately the end result would be one MME entry that describes the entirety of the research experience over both summers, and there would be 2 other entries that describe the work for each of the poster sessions individually (less about the experience and more about the project in detail). (Total of 3 entries)

Make one poster label and just put the date of the presentation in the citation.

Alternatively, if they were school symposium type posters then just combine them with the individual research sections. The methods you use matter less than the hypothesis, the results, and what value you gained from it.

You can use one MM space for Research and use the Repeated feature for the two summer date spans.
Or you can use one MM space for Research, add the word "Summer" in the title of the space and then use one all-encompassing datespan.
Or you can use two Research spaces, one for each summer project, designating one of them as Most Meaningful.

Whichever option you pick, it's best to cite the Posters in the same space as the Research description, if they occurred on the campus.

I have 3 projects in the same lab that produced 3 posters. Would it be fine to split that in to “XYZ lab” and “XYZ posters” indicating the professor

Where did you present the posters? How selective was the process? Is the one Research space designated as MM so you have more characters? Any publications listed in another space? Do you have spaces to spare? There are many nuances that have to be considered as to the best way to present this information, including whether you're a good candidate for highly-selective, research-focused T20 schools. Should we discuss this in the "Tips" thread so as not to highjack the OP's conversation?

Yes we should.
