Confused about evaluation mailed status?

My LOE has been submitted on 7/31, but I just checked my evaluation tab today and it says: Evaluation date mailed 8/7/14

However, many schools have received my LOE before this date. I am wondering what does evaluation date mailed mean? So does this mean my official batch is 8/7/14, or 7/31?

I think it's just like the e-submit date and the "mail" date.

If I had to guess the schools could access your application and find the LOE pre 8/7, but in all likely hood they were probably notified of it on 8/7. This would put your official batch, where schools take your application into consideration, at 8/7.
