I'm in alittle predicament, when I calculate my GPA for lets say a science class with lab when I put in the credit hours do i include the lab even if i did not recieve a seperate grade for lab? This is going to change my GPA alot because some of science classes (Human physiology classes, my major) don't have lab while obviosly the premed requirements do. Any input would be great.

No Calculate each one separate and then add them at the end to get a cumulative GPS.

Ex. Lab A, 2 units so thats 4*2=8gp
ClassB+, 3 units so thata 3.3*3= 9.9

Then you add the earned gp and divide by the possible points (8+12=20)

so you get : (8+9.9)/(8+12)= 0.895 then you multiply this by 4 and get= 3.58 for the class.

You need to do this for each class in Excel and then add them up for a GPA!!!

Good luck!

See, thats the problem, I go to Boston University, they give labs 0 credit calue and the lab is just worth like 1/4 of the lecture grade. Should i ignore it?

What's your transcript say? go with that. My gen chem and bio labs were included with the lecture, so if you got an A, that was 4 credits worth of A for me. Then organic had a separate lab, so you count them separately.

alright thanks, all the science classes I have taken, and will take have lab worth 0 credits so i guess i will just ignore them. So close to getting free A's 🙂
