HI all...this is my 1st post ever on SDN

i am confused on what to do ...
here is my situation:

undergrad gpa = 3.48
sci gpa = 3.0

i am currently in the kaplan mcat review and plan on taking either the aug mcat (if i feel ready--which i doubt) or the april one.
and just guessing i do average on the mcat (sayyyy 27)??

i still feel that these stats are not high enough to get straight into medical school and therefore am interested in doing a 1 year post-bac program before applying and was really interested in the Drexel masters program to help raise my sci gpa.

So finally my questions are:
1) Does it sound like a good idea to do a post-bac before even applying and probably gettin rejected...or should i just apply and see?
2) Which program at Drexel is better suited for my situation--IMS or MSP??
(any other programs anyone suggests to raise my sci gpa?)

thanx yall
good luck to everyone 😛

Better to sign up fora post-bac now than to wait a year, get rejected, and sign up then. You'll waste a year. I agree that you don't have a good chance at MD programs in the US with those stats.

I would do IMS at Drexel to raise your GPA. Keep in mind that it wont raise your ugrad GPA, though, just your grad, which is separate. Also, aim higher on the MCAT, otherwise you risk landing at 25 instead of 28. Believe that you can do better and you will do better.
