hey guys so i just found out my mcat score from may 25...not good to say the least. unfortunately this was my 4th time taking this exam, and i ended up getting the same score i got when i first took it. I was really hoping on getting higher than a 28...but now that i got the same exact score as my first two scores, i know that med schools will look at the 28 as a fluke. Should i still even bother to submit my amcaas/tmdsas (tx applicant here)? What about DO schools? Unfortunately, the Carribbeans seem to be calling my name...

whats your GPA?

you could try the TX schools if you have the money, the application is fairly cheap. but you should also look into the DO schools and Caribbean.

Some schools have express policies about taking your best MCAT, as opposed to your most recent. The University of Utah even takes your best score in each section.

Find the "best" MCAT schools if you are determined to apply US Allo. Unfortunately, even if their "best" policy will technically get you past some screens, your evaluators will still see all scores and that may influence their decision.

Depending on your GPA and some other characteristics, you may still be competitive at DO school, and the pre-DO forum would be the best place to expore that possibilty. DO is definitely where I would look before the Carribean.
