My school's Career Services and Placement Center keeps a file for me to put my confidential letters of rec (so i can't see them). Now, when I send them to all the schools that request them after my secondaries... will they MAKE copies and send it to them? Or do I physically have to ask each recommender to make X copies, assuming I expect to send out X letters to X amount of schools? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me that each evaluator only needs to make one copy. That would make sense... i mean, i can't imagine asking my profs to make me 15 copies!
thanks

that is the job of the career center...anyway that is how it is in ucla...

becomes they control ur file, and keep all the letters confidential...they can make as many copies as they want and send them...

there is no sane professor on this earth, that would make like 14 copies and then SEND them to all the schools...if that was the case, then they had to quit their day job, to send letters for all their students... 😀

At my undergrad school, the career services people make copies and send everything out as a packet. It's easier for everyone involved that way. I'm getting this mental picture of my orgo prof stuffing piles and piles of LORs into envelopes... sorry, I guess you had to know my orgo prof for that to be funny. 🙂

Your professional school advising office (or whatever you have that is equivalent) will take care of all copies that need to be mailed. At the one at my school, you give them so many stamps depending on how many schools you are applying to, and they take care of it from there.
