Hey guys i'm filling out the application right now I'm confused on the figuring out the gpa because my community college is semester system and my university that i transfered to is quarter. I'm guessing they want semester units so calculating my community college wasn't tough but for my university since their in quarter units do i have to convert it to semester or do i leave it as quarter units as it says for my university transcript?

Also since AACPMAS doesn't want transcripts since we send the transcripts to the schools were appying to will schools interview based on our trust that we entered the correct gpa and science courses since i'm seeing that people are getting accepted without having those in already? How does that work?

Thanks guys

I would say go talk to an advisor or career center.
I went to both about GPA calculating, and they said go off transcripts (but again...I'm no expert). The schools see the transcripts and want it to match is what I was told. You should be entering the community college separate from the university one. At least that's what I believe. But I don't do quarters, so I'm not sure. Make sure you look over the information button (little i on the application checklest next to that part)
I sent my transcripts in before the application was available too, so they had that already.

Hi everyone, I was wondering how Podiatry schools calculated retakes. I received a C in Organic Chemistry, yet I retook it got a better grade. Do they calculate the C and the new grade into my science GPA or just the grade when I took it the 2nd time? Thanks.

they average the two. so a C and an A becomes a B.

According to DMU you take the retake grade. I called them specifically about that and that is what I was told.

that is weird because i called them too and that isn't what they told me. They said that they will look at the retake and consider it, but in the GPA, they will average the two grades out. maybe i'll should call them again.

I talked directly to Meghan Good and she said that both grades needed to be present however if a class was retaken they would only look at the retake grade.

NYCPM recalculates the GPA from the transcripts and says that people are usually off, so if you do it wrong it will probably be OK.
