Yes, congrats.

Now the trick is to stay out of jail and not get sued.

You will watch as stupidity and moral depravity claim your classmates.

You will see them hit the paper from time to time.

When it happens, just remember, I told you so.

Thanks guys! Those 4 years flew by so quick - believe it or not lol

Congrats on officially becoming Physicians. It's now Dr. PMSIII, instead of PMSIII the podiatry student. 🙂

Best of Luck!

way too much ego stroking in this thread you got your doc congrats but get through residency first...and stop making doctors seem high and mighty

Why not? I'm pretty sure, you'd do the same, once you make it that far. It is a major accomplishment. Stop ruining the thread ThetaChi.

you keep on posting this, I guess you don't understand. its podiatric physician, podiatrist, DPM... if you're too ashamed to say the word podiatrist then you should be looking elsewhere for a career. But, I know you're only a child in high school, so I can understand why you are a little confused.

Please let us halt the attacks and stop antagonizing each other. Let civility and professionalism rule because these are what these forums were intended for. Thank you.

Congrats class. You earned your wings! :luck:

Yah, now we switch from "I can handle anything that walks into school pod clinic" 😎

....to "OMG, I just got called into the ER at 2am on the 4th of July!" :scared:

I'm a new member but I've been informing myself and reading these forums for quite some time...thetachina is so correct....toooo much ego strokin' in these forums/communities.

C/O 2009, CONGRATS! You are now doctors (even though in residencies). DON'T FORGET THAT YOU ARE WHERE YOU AS A BLESSING! Embrace it as a Blessing, and you'll never forget that you are doing this to give something back to the community. Only then will you enjoy your profession and life.

its not a blessing, its someones personal dedication, compassion, and hard work. insinuating that its a blessing undervalues the accomplishment, silly!

Just trying to be humble, my friend. And it has always helped through my life to see through a more positive lens.

LOL The funny thing is that I'm actually on-service that month and will be on-call that day, so this scenario is more likely to take place. I'll keep you posted lol. When are you moving to MI and when do you guys get started with orientation and ACLS/BLS stuff?

We have orientation for the last week of June and ACLS refresh that last weekend. I'm moving up to Grosse Pt next weekend... a few days after pt3 boards. I'm excited to get started.... just got rotation schedule: I'm on F&A service (surg, clinic, and ER) for 3 of the first 4 months, incl July. We don't know our official call schedules yet.

Are you moving within Cleveland area, or do you get to stay at your same place?

Man I envy you for taking part III boards right now. Unfortunately I have to wait till next year, as per Ohio laws. How many on-service months do you guys have during your first year? We get something like 5.5 or 6, I think.

I used to live in a Cleveland suburb but will be moving to the west end of the city in a couple of weeks - closer to the two main hospitals we cover. I am looking forward to getting started man. Good luck with your move and boards!

Between office, ER, and surgery, we are on service for 8 months during each year of the program. First year outside rotations are FP, gen surg, radio, and an ID/path split month... what are yours?

Sounds fun! For our first year we get IM, Gen Surg, Vascular Surg, Plastic Surg, ER, Anesthesia (2 weeks).
