GOOD JOB AUGUST MCATERS! Now that you're done taking the MCAT, what are you going to do now?!?!?!

perhaps this? :hardy:

maybe this? +pissed+

or this? :barf:

what about this? 😴

hopefully make some of this? 😍

then again, perhaps you're still in this state and don't know what to think? :wow:

Whatever the case, I'm proud of you guys for getting through the MCAT 👍 (i'm also pretty bored right now...)

👍 or 👎

👍 definitely! There were, no kidding, fewer than 20 questions involving organic chem on form AT. Yee haw!

Yeah! I had form AG and I was just telling my roommate the same thing... I also noticed I think that there was a larger proportion of genetics, though I read somewhere that this was going to happen, but seeing as I took genetics, I am certainly not complaining! 😀

My friend just said the same thing about AG!!!!! I am betting this administration decided against Orgo stuff, big time. That's how it was last August too. It was mostly genetics, which is what my friend's form was too from what she just told me a few minutes ago.

mine seemed to be a LOT of genetics, and molecular stuff too. There weren't really any big crazy evolution questions or anatomy either, which was weird...

Verbal was really good on AT since I don't think there was a killer passage. We'll see in October I guess...

Angel,

Did you retake it????? If so, that's the exact form my friend had today. She said the same thing you just said too.

guju,
after advice from med school people (admins) I did retake it. It wasn't too bad...I just need those couple extra points! haha

No my friends they did not do away with O-chem. I had form FL and bs seriously seemed like it was half (really hard) O-chem. It sucked so bad! But my physics was pretty easy, so I guess it evens out.

Congrats everyone--I hope you all did well 😳

Woohoo! Done! Now, I just hope that I don't have to study for the April test. Hope everyone did well!

only 2 passages of ochem on form DL. The girl next to me says "that gringnard reagent passage better had been experimental". the ochem was very basic but i do understand some people don't understand grignard reagents especially the preparations steps(a question on AAMC 7).

also there was some NMR. luckily i did an experiment in the spring that will forever ingrain where to find a peak of the functional group mentioned.

Practically no organic on CH either. I had the Grignard thing (which I tried to remember from a year ago) and some nMR stuff, which we never did in organic II. One more random question at the end about some optical crap.

Maybe 10 direct organic questions total. The rest was biochem/cell bio type stuff, and a bit of genetics.

and the question still remains...what are you going to do now that the test is over ?

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm so glad is finally OVER! I had form AG. I guess there was quite a bit of genetics, but it wasn't anything too crazy or out of control. Not enough Ochem IMO though. My weakest area is Physical, so I have NO clue about that difficulty level, it's all hard to me. 😛 Otherwise I didn't think there was a K passage on the Verbal either. Who knows? Only October will tell.

Some girl in my exam room gets up about 3/4 of the way through physical and asks for a drink of H2O. The proctor told her no and she starts groaning and fake faints by throwing herself onto the floor in front of his desk. (I have seen people faint, and she by no means really fainted) 🙄 Then he comes around the desk and helps her up. She immediately gets up and walks out of the room. Comes right back in for about 6 seconds at her desk and runs out of the room, only to throw herself on the floor in the hallway!! The cops came. The parameds came with O2. It was CRAZY!! Then when the Verbal section was about to start, she tried to come back in the room to take the rest of the test. My fellow test takers verbally announced their opposition to return, and the proctor made her take it by herself in another room. Talk about MCAT drama!

Anyway:
Please take a moment and pat yourselves on the back. We are done baby yeah!! (And none of us fake fainted)

Count me in.
Ok, I took the MCAT in April and I felt the same way. My predictions were SO wrong though. I thought I bombed verbal did ok on PS and rocked BS. It turned out that I did the exact same on every section (10s). Goes to show you, making predictions and obsessing does no good. Get off SDN and look at how REAL people score on the MCAT, you won't feel so bad. Really, I checked this thread every day for about three weeks and every time it just made want to vomit. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the fact that you're DONE!!!! NO MO MCAT! You deserve some fun/ice cream/sex/all of the above. ENJOY!
