I got a recent letter in the mail, telling me to consolidate my loans?

I have no debt from undergrad, and the only loans I have so far are from medical school...I'm still a student, and I haven't graduated....is there any point in consolidating my loans now?

especially, if I consolidate my loans now at a fixed rate (I know the rates are awesome right now) now, would that hurt me especially with subsidized loans, since they don't accrue interest until I graduate from medical school?

wouldn't that be a dumb thing to do, to consolidate my loans at this stage of the game? 🙄

can anybody give some advice? I asked a friend a while back, and she told me not to consolidate any loans until I graduate? is that the best advice?

prolly, right Ockham's razo? 😀

Don't consolidate subsidized loans until the interest is no longer subsidized. You may not be able to consolidate any loans if your school is a direct lender.
