constriction of capallaries into glomerous

im reading schaums page 289 and this says when occlustion of the reenal artery occurs.....the kidney cortex releases renin to increase blood presseur

so does occlusion of renal artery mean that the capallaries going into the glomerous is constricted and this affects the AFFERENT arteriole therefore renin will be released?
