Consulting for Freestanding ER?

Hey guys, I saw a job posting for a consultant PIC and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.
A quick glance at the other registered sites in my state shows that its mostly retail guys that take it as a second job
and doesn't look like it'd be too bad.

I don't see how a consultant could be a PIC. Sounds shady.

Oh. Freestanding ERs are their own class of pharmacy and can have a consultant PIC, so that part at least isn't shady.

The only person I personally know doing this is for a FSED owned by their hospital.

It's an EM residency director, so a far cry from a retail guy with a 2nd job.

I only know one pharmacist in Texas who consults for emergency departments and he's on the state board of pharmacy lol

I'm curious about this as well. I've noticed our local freestanding ER's use a guy who is listed as PIC of 27 such places. See Texas pharmacist # 26504
