Hey, can someone please suggest any way to contact the university professors to increase our exposure to them? Is this considered non-controversial or okay?

You can reach them,if you want to do clinical observe ship or research work assistance; but not for admission purpose, might be their recommendation letter might help you.

Thanks for the reply. I will definitely try for some research-related job as this seems to be a missing part of my application.

As suggested by others so far, I too think it is good idea to contact prof and work with them a bit.

However, I strongly feel (it could be just me) that contacting profs at universities where you have applied at, just for trying to 'push your application through' might reflect negatively on the application. I just don't think it depicts a positive professional image about you (and your application).

Could someone comment on this thought?

@_K9_ is absolutely right! Yes if you get a chance to work with one of the Professors, that would be great but if you`re emailing them just for the purposes of you having the chance to get accepted in to Advanced Standing Program, then yes it is going to depict a negative image. Let your hard work and stats speak! But again I am not gonna lie, I know ppl who observed or knew Professors through lets say other alumni or dentists and they got accepted in to Advanced Standing! Yes contacts are gold mine but how you make them is to be given importance!!!!!!

Hey, thanks for the insight. I will keep that in mind.
