I'm a freshman in college and am taking introductory bio, gen chem, and psych and am planning to take my MCAT in Spring 2027. I'm wondering if it would be worth starting to unsuspend cards from the MilesDown Anki deck that we've covered in those classes or if that would defeat the purpose of content review later on? I could definitely see it helping me in my classes right now, but I don't want it to mess with my study schedule when I start seriously prepping.

Thank you in advance!

Different studying pathways are going to work in unique ways for each individual.

What I will say is to study very hard in your classes and do you best to digest the knowledge at a deeper level than you are being taught. When you are doing your actual content review for the MCAT your deeper level of understanding will enable you to refresh those concepts much more easily versus if you did the ole college pump-and-dump studying technique.

One thing that I have noticed in doing my own content review is that there have been several concepts that were not covered at all in my courses I have taken during postbacc. Fluid dynamics, harmonics, and deep level metabolic pathways were noticeably absent from my coursework. I would make yourself aware at what is tested on the MCAT (What's on the MCAT® Exam? PDF Outline) and ensure you are focusing on these topics during your studies AND if you see that something is not covered reach out to your professor to get their assistance understanding the material. For instance, I've gone back to my physics professor and asked him to check my understanding of fluid dynamics and harmonics and he was more than happy to help.

i think you will get burnt out if you start more than 6 months before test day, just pay attention in class and you will do well
