Hey guys,
I just completed a year of post bacc courses and I'm still taking a few courses over summer to raise my cGPA that I graduated with a year ago (2.71). After I finish summer school, my cGPA will be a 2.92 and sGPA will be a 2.68 and my overall post bacc GPA would be 3.63

My original plan was to take 2 more courses next Fall ( my GPA would be 2.95, but with an upward trend)and study for the January MCAT, work as a phlebotomist for my clinical experience and then apply for MD/DO schools in June 2017. I was also going to apply for some SMPs in case I didn't get accepted anywhere...

But now that I know I will need 5 more classes to get my GPA over a 3.0 for MD and 3.2 for DO. I wanted to raise my cGPA above a 3.0 so I wouldn't get autoscreened by med schools. I know that my DO cGPA is currently be a 3.1 and sGPA 2.8.

I wanted to know if I should wait another year before applying to take more classes or should I just forgo more undergrad classes and apply for an SMP?

Thanks!
