This dosnt have anything to do with anything but I we have downtime in the OR so I was sitting here studying when a doc walked up and asked me what am I majoring in. After a few minutes, of course I asked to shadow him along with his residents and students over spring break and he said of course! Anyyywhoo this dude was so dam cool I thought he was a resident at first and not a faculty until he mentioned HE IS ON THE ADCOM for UTSW. I was trying not to be all gay and pushy then he said "Hey here's my cell number and pager call me whenever you are ready." WTF I mean these students act like they got a stick up their @$$ but a faculty gave me his dam cell and engaged the convo. Anywho I just wanted to share this moment with my fellow sdn bros.

On the inside I was screaming like a little beootchh when he said the adcom part. This dude was really impressed by our convo and talked deep about his wife, salary, mcat, the future of doctors and the interview. I was like JACKPOT!! I do feel like a groupie though.. I gota do something manly when I get off asap!

One of the reasons faculty are so cool is because they're faculty and they don't have to worry about night calls, getting bitched out and being overworked. Students are too worried about their own futures to worry about someone else ... it really is that simple.
