every time I think about an upcoming interview and try to think about the answers to the questions, I feel like crying 🙁
I am afraid I am gonna cry on interview...How to make sure I wont?
Is there anything you guys did in advance? How do you deal with stress and emotions?

Here is a technique to deal with stress. It has been tested:
Answer 3 questions
1) What am I stressing about?
2) What is the worst that may happen?
3) How can I improve it?

In your situation, you should think like this:

1) I am stressing about the intervie. I do not know what to say. Maybe there is some unexpected questions that will block my mind.

2) The worst can happen is that I will be put in the waitlist. But this is Ok, I still have many other choice. Stastically, my chance of getting into pharmacy school will be higher if I apply more than 3 schools. Even if I do not get in any school this year, I will have a invaluable experience. I will improve my application stronger for next year. I will be officially accepted. 1 year off is not bad at all because I will have time to prepare for a 4 year hard program.

3) I can improve my situation right now by practicing interview with my friend. Try to be confident, and knowledgable. I will practice all possible questions that may be asked in the interview.

[Look on interview feedback in sdn to review some of most frequency questions in your school].

Sounds like you need to watch a good old fashioned Tear-jerker movie and cry everything out the day before. Moulin Rouge always gets me.

The best way to avoid this is to practice practice practice so that you feel confident going into the interview. Be sure of yourself, tell yourself you are going to do amazingly!
Everyone deals with stress differently - exercising always takes some stress off, as does shopping 🙂 Spend time with friends/family/significant other to get your mind off of everything.
The most important thing before going into an interview is to be prepared. Read the schools' mission statements, look at their websites, be prepared to talk about yourself, and be confident. You'll do fine, don't worry 🙂

Good luck to you!!

Just say: “I must win the interview! So I must practice!” Put it on your schedule and do it. Then, guest what? The more careful you prepare, the less nervous you feel. You will not have enough time to worry.

Then, on the interview day think about what happen if you fail. Will it result in the death of one of your beloved? If not, so no need to worry. Relax and go for the interview. Then you will be fine. Don’t think too much now. Just prepare and practice.

I would suggest drinking heavily before the interview. This will help relieve any butterflies you may have.

Excellent advice, I would highly stress the exact same things, except for maybe shopping 😉

And, as said before, the case scenario is an interview being an invaluable experience. In all honesty, there are no negatives to come from the situation. Practice, by yourself, to friends and family, to your dog, whatever. It will help more than you think.

Deep breaths beforehand, and tissues in my pockets for sweaty palms syndrome. If you have been invited to interview, that means they are at least interested. Just breathe, be yourself, be honest, and you'll feel fine.

Crying, really? If I were interviewing somebody and they cried, I wouldn't have any qualms about making my laughter audible. It shows a serious lack of confidence. You've gotta show them otherwise.

I've never heard of that technique before, but it sounds really good! I'm jotting it down right now to help me this week (its going to be one of *those* weeks). Thanks for the great advice. 👍

It is from the one of the best classic book of Dale Carnagies. He has another one called "How to win friend and influent people". The technique has been proven by hundred thousand of adults at that time who were his students. You can buy an audio book of his :" How to stop worrying and start living". I am still listening to his book everytime I am driving.
