Does anyone know of a non-brute force method to copy and paste individual bits of SPSS output into a data table, like in Excel or OpenOffice Calc?

For example, lets say you run 50 regressions, but you only want a few Ps and Rs per regression. I know it's easy to export SPSS output to a .xls, but then you're stuck copying and pasting cells one by one to the data table. Is there a way to automate (or semi-automate) this stage of the process to reduce time and human error? I was playing around with some macros and macro recording in OpenOffice today, but I think I'm in a bit over my head.

I have no idea how to do this and am fairly certain that you can't... but if anyone knows how to do this type of thing, from spss or sas output... DEAR GOD TELL ME IT WOULD SAVE ME A LOT OF TIME.
