I had an off-day interview at cornell and no idea about the housing. are there any issues with housing as some people say? did anybody have the chance to visit the place?

It seemed nice enough. Close to the hospital (and you can stay indoors the entire time). There are different buildings that vary slightly in price and quality. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll only get a studio if you're single. You get a one bedroom if you're married, and a two bedroom if you're married to a cornell resident, or married with children.

The two bedrooms were quite nice, but the studios seemed small. Then again, perhaps they're huge for new york apartments?

Hope this helps...

it's typical for manhattan. You'll be guaranteed a studio if you apply and it's the best deal in town even though it's still expensive. i wouldn't let the housing determine how you rank Cornell.
