hahahahah roosevelt island SUCKS!!!
i used to live there for two years... a friend of mine lives there now, and I still tell him roosevelt island sucks:
nothing but a bunch of wannabe gangstarrs and invalids. and tons of old people.
but from cornell's perspective it wouldnt be that bad, take the tram and your ritght there on 59th and 1st, a couple blocks from the school.
but I really wonder where they would put the dorms.
now I know some college already has dorms on the island...
ahh here it is:
http://marymount.mmm.edu/reunion2000/dormacc.html
but hold on, I'm starting to reconsider, I used to live on river road, in the exact buildings that marymount has dorms in, and those were some of the nicest apartments in the city!!

My understanding is that they are building faculty housing on Roosevelt Island.

It certainly would be much less convenient than Olin Hall for the students so I don't think they are considering moving them there

they aren't moving anyone to roosvelt housing for a long time - and chances are that they won't be med students. you certainly won't see it happen while a med student there. i think they are planning on sending grad students there rather than med students. something to investigate further though
