I was recently accepted ED to CALS at Cornell for the Class of 2019 with a major in animal science and a pre-vet track. I know I'm thinking ahead, but what is the best/easiest statistics class to take at Cornell for someone who doesn't love math? I was planning to take stats in the fall, because I'll be taking many science classes that will get harder in future semesters, but I've heard a lot about the different classes, and I'm not sure which would be best.
Deciding between AEM 2100, ILR/STSCI 2100, and PAM 2100. AEM 2100 I've heard has a great professor and is currently offered in the fall. I've heard STSCI 2100 has a much better/easier professor (Karns) in the spring than in the fall. And I've heard that PAM 2100 is easy in general but is only offered in the spring.
Would it be too much to take stats in the spring? I'll probably be taking the next level of chemistry, 2080 I think it is, and a bunch of animal bio/regular bio courses. So I think I want to get it out of the way during my first semester in the fall, but I'm not sure if that's the best option (probably AEM then)?
Any advice?
Thank you!
(I'm posting this in here for the current/past Cornell pre-meds who've taken stats)
