🙂 I just got an interview invitation from Cornell via email. I've posted an excerpt from the email below:

"Greetings!
We are delighted to inform you that the Committee on Admissions has completed the evaluation of your application and has selected you to be invited to interview at the Medical College.
This year, our interview season will run from September 25, 2001 to mid-March 2002. We select our class in March, after all candidates have been interviewed, to give everyone the same chance. Each applicant is interviewed by two Admissions Committee members. Interview days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays..."

Wow, congrats and good luck! I haven't even received a secondary from them yet. Probably never will thanks to AMCAS.

I haven't received an official invitation to do their online secondary yet. 🙁 I highly doubt they are looking at the one I sent it, since they have yet to cash my check. Oh well...

I hope you don't mind if I ask...what are your stats, and when was your application complete? I just received the "Greetings! We're delighted to inform you that your app is complete" e-mail today.

funny, i called them this morning to tell them that i submitted my application to amcas over 8 weeks ago and that it hasn't been processed. i said i was really interested in cornell and asked if there was any progress being made. don't worry, she told me, we're not gonna interview anyone yet because that would give an unfair advantage to the people having problems with amcas (considering the ONLY way to get your info through to cornell is through ELECTRONIC PROCESSING through amcas, no paper copies). how ironic that people are getting interviews today. i think the secretary at cornell should be promoted to AMCAS specialist status--she obviously has the skills.

I got an interview offer from Cornell today, too. It's my first one...whew! 🙄

I got the Cornell Interview notice yesterday too! I am so excited...I just have one quick question. I thought that it was kind of strange that they don't give you a date, just say that they will let you know. Anyone who has had experience with this...how long is it usually between notification that you will get an interview and an actual invitation with a date? Thanks for you help and congrats to Wahoo and figure five..maybe I will see you there!

I wouldn't worry if they haven't been able to process your app yet... the interview invite I received specifically mentions that the admissions process is Not rolling so that all applicants are on equal footing, regardless of interview date. Also, they're not scheduling interviews yet, just notifying people that they'll receive an interview date sometime soon. So... hang in there 🙂

Also, in response to the question about when I submitted my secondary... I sent in my secondary on August 15th, and my recommendation packet was shipped on the 21st.
