just checked my Cornell status page for the first time in a week or so - says that an admissions decision has been mailed. i am assuming this is a rejection and not an interview invite, right?

I'm sure if you call the admissions office and expressed this sentiment to them, they would be happy to oblige.

But I feel ya. I've gotten silence from a bunch of schools. Sometimes silence is unbearable.

Count me in too. I'm still under review and I've been complete since forever. I think I've become so patient with their process, I've pretty much forgotten that I ever applied there. I'll read through the threads here and see something about Cornell and it'll jog my memory that I did indeed apply there and should check my status page. Sooooo... I'll check, and lo and behold!, "please be patient. your application is still under review" pops up and I forget about Cornell until the next thread appears on SDN.


It's sad. I really did like the school, but they're killing me. Oh well...

Yes, indeed, we are still offering interviews and will be doing so until
early March.
Don't despair.

1) Piss them off enough and rejected me
2) offer me an interview (which just happens to be the same dates of the NYU 2nd look weekend!)

Well, while they're telling you to be patient, at least there's still hope. I was complete Dec 11 and my status page changed to tell me my rejection letter was in the mail on Jan 18. 38 days! At least let me be patient for a few months. 🙄

You could try emailing them. I emailed them and a week later I got that decision made status page. Their rejection letter was very polite 🙁

I emailed them with an update in mid-January and then called them to make sure they got the email, but there was still no change to my status. Maybe this will finally be my week
