I was just reading a message about how to score a 45 on the mcat. I've got no idea what that means. I know that physical sciences, biological sciences and verbal reasoning are scored out of 15 but how do you convert your letter grade on the writing sample to a numerical value? what is the overall test out of numerically? i know these are elementary and stupid questions, this is my first time writing the mcat though, thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it.

Thanks in advance :)

15+15+15 = ?

The writing sample doesn't get converted to a numerical score and plays a minimal to nil role in med school admissions decisions.

In Canada it plays a substantial role in getting an interview. One of the universities I'm applying to you need a minimum Q to make the MCAT cutoff.
