Thinking whether I should sleep early tonight or join the SDN midnight decision-checking party.
I have to be up at 5:30 for work... do I stay up tho?
Depends on the school. Check the previous year threads for your particular schools.
How do you check the time stamp on old posts? Only thing I see is the date when it was posted?
Some people were kind enough to include the time in their message.

Can't believe Dec. 3rd is almost here, guys!!! Best of luck to everyone, and I hope you all get in somewhere!! Honestly, I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. If we don't get in this time around, it'll definitely sting, but hey life still goes on.

Good luck everyone! I remember this time last year, and it was awful trying to wait patiently. Sit as tight as you can, and hopefully you'll be jumping for joy/screaming/crying in a few hours (I know I was).

When your status never got changed to "Invited for Interview" (because you did not get an interview) and you are just livin' on a prayer. LOL.
LOL, a couple of schools changed mine from "Received/Under Review" to "None" without an interview. So, it could be worse!
Is "none" supposed to be bad?
Eh, it could be great if you've interviewed already. Who knows. In my case, it feels like a silent rejection.
My man, I am shook though. I only "applied" to five schools. I just learned last week that one of them never received my supp. fee, and so that leaves four. One of the four also does not accept OOS, so I got the hard rejection a few weeks ago. Now I am banking on three schools: one I interviewed at, a wild-card/mysterious one, and my homestate's school (will not be hearing back until later in the application cycle). T_T

About a year ago I emailed my pre-health advisor to ask if it was a good idea for me to apply to dental school. She sent me an email back saying that I didn't really have a chance this cycle and that I should take a gap year and apply in 2019! I've printed out that email and taped it to my wall.
Hopefully by the end of tomorrow I'll be able to print out an acceptance email and tape that up next to it.
If not, then I'll tear it down and cry.
Anyone else have some cheeky rituals they are undertaking in the 11th hour?

My U.S government teacher in HS told me I wouldn't make it to college because I had a 2.7 gpa and got a D on his exam

Yikes. Why do you have to wait even longer to hear back from your state school? You applied late?
If it makes you feel any better, I'm only waiting on two schools (USC and UDM). I already have zero hope for UDM given the amount of applicants they interview. USC is pretty much my only hope.
They recommended that I retake my DAT. Which I guess is not bad--at least they reached out to me? If I do not receive an acceptance tonight, I am essentially banking on my second DAT attempt (scheduled for 12/29/18) as my last shot at getting into dental school this cycle.
Oh, gotcha. Well, good luck! Hopefully we'll both be celebrating soon!

Wishing everyone the best today! Please take some time to reflect on your journey. I get so teary-eyed thinking about all the obstacles I have had to overcome to get where I am today. All of you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. I am rooting for all of you! After all, we did not come this far to only get this far. 😍
