😕 I have two classes that are between science and business, i am not sure if i should treat them science or not. They are:
STAT21 Introduction to probability/Statistics for Business
MIS 121 Introduction to Business Programing
both of them are under business/econ major. I would like to hear what you guys think.

The application website has the SCIENCE classes that count towards your SCIENCE GPA listed.

Yes, but i am confused. I am not sure if the first class should be count as Stat, which is under Math, or Business, which is not science. Similar to the 2nd class... They seemed to have the elements from both science and non-science.

Is this totally up to me to decide which belongs to which?
The Stat class is a requirement for my degree in Economics and it has "business" at the end of the title. I am not sure if i should treat it as a regular Statistics class under Math on the class code listed from the AADSAS site. I would rather treat it as Business because I did poorly in this class. Same thing for Business programming....I would rather treat it as business than a computer programming class...Do I have the right to do that?

I don't think you have that right. if I were you, I would contact the application people.

Hello there,

Donot make this process a pain in the rear by getting stuck in the dilemma of course placement. It is very easy, if you took a class in the business department and if it is economics, finance, accounting, ststistics, or any other it is going to be considered as Non-Science. But if the class was taken with lets say Math department then Yes, it is a science class.

regards :luck:

Yeah your absolutely correct check to see which department at school this class is offered under. But, at my school even though a class is called biostatistics it can be either taken as a math class or bio class depending on the class number.

my business statistics class is calculated in my science gpa whenever I go in and talk to my advisor....and the advisors here are extremely anal about what you should and should not put into science gpa...so I would say it would be safe to put it in with the science classes if you wanted

just put it under whatevers... those adcoms really aren't going to care, they've got a buttload of applicatiosn to go through and they're not goign to pay one bit of attention to something like this.
