I think the op is talking about married couples not just couples. I don't know if the Turkey Drop is common with married folks.

Well, unfortunately from personal experience I know what this is. It is when your girlfriend that you have been dating since high school breaks up with you before or around Thanksgiving (freshman year).
or from college to med school... same difference.
Yeah I'm wondering the same thing and I'm kind of scared to hear the answer. 😱 Oh yes and if you would like to hear about the joys that are applying together as husband and wife let me know. 😉

My fiance and I are applying together. I applied to both MD and DO and he only applied MD. I've been accepted to Touro CA but we are still waiting to hear from his interviews. Unfortunately he has only been interviewing in the midwest and east coast so this will make things difficult, seeing that we are getting married in April. However, we have decided that we are okay with going to separate schools even if it means living on two separate coasts.
Do you have any other interviews or schools you are waiting to hear from?

Don't worry about it; have a great time at six flags. I wish the weather was nice enough to be outside where I am. Instead it's in the teens and we have like 6 inches of snow.
Sorry it took so long to respond back. I work the swing shift at the hospital. I am still waiting to hear back from Western-COMP. I interviewed with them on the 20th and they said we should hear back in mid-January. I was wait listed at Touro NY (high alternate), so I guess I am waiting to hear back from them too. All very nerve racking...😳
My wife and I got into every school we applied to, so it can be done. There is also another husband/wife duo in our class who were married before matriculating. Adcoms have no problem admitting spouses together as long as each of you have a solid record.
