My problem is that I want to finish school as quickly as possible, but my dilemma is how much is too much? I'm hoping that someone who's taken these courses can give me some insight into difficulty.

I have all of my electives completed and numerous other courses.

I need:
Bio 1, 2
Chem 1, 2
Phys 1, 2
O. Chem 1,2
College Algebra
Spanish 8 credits
Genetics
M. Cell Bio

This is my schedule for Fall and tentative for the rest of college

Fall '12
Bio 1
Chem 1
Spanish 1
Algebra

Spring '13
Bio 2
Chem 2
Spanish 2

Summer '13
Phys 1
O Chem 1
Ecology

Fall '13
Phys 2
O Chem 2
Genetics

Spring '14
M Cell Bio
Study for MCAT.

Why the rush? enjoy college

The clif notes of my life is... Did college, hated it, joined the military, got shot, got out, now I'm old and don't want to delay my dream any longer than I have to.

Any insight into my question? Feel free to redo my schedule and all criticisms are welcome

Oh, my mistake you are a non-traditional student. On that note i understand the fast pace. Honestly I would not be able to accurately comment on your schedule. I do advise you how ever to post this same thread on college confidential... very respectable forum for these types of questions. Or simply talk to a counselor.

BUTTT what i do know is medical school loves to see a busy and active applicant therefore. On the year where it says study for MCAT I would add a couple more classes and if you have a small portion of classes you should be busy with research and activities.

Thanks. I did talk to an(non premed) advisor today tho, she was in a pissing contest with me after she saw I was premed. She told me that she was a bio major and applied to medical school years ago. Obviously she knows everything there is to know about everything. Even things we agreed on she challenged to make a point of her knowing it. Eventually I quit asking my questions and let her rant for the sake of signing up for classes and getting the F out.

EDIT: Then as I was leaving she asked me to fill out a survey on how well she did her job. What a clown

Lol. A professional she calls herself 😏

Not to be offensive but don't be so naive, she might not know everything it is always great to get different perspectives especially for the vast pre-med experience. She gave you that schedule listed above?

No, I made it myself. Trust me, she had nothing valuable to say. All of the info I have I've learned off these forums over the years.

Well like I said I am not a professional and therefore would not want to criticize anything on your schedule. The only thing I would want to say is, is about the last year in which you should take more classes but besides that don't speak to an outside adviser. Go to a (pre-med) counselor at your school they will edit your schedule for you. You should have a pre med counselor at your school. Any other questions?
