Hi all,

Rising Junior here.

Should I double up on Biochem and Physics next year (along with Advanced Cell Bio, Anatomy and Phys, and History course)? OR play it safe and take biochem senior year? Our Biochem teacher is on the Medical School admissions committee

Also, what other classes should I take that could help me on MCAT?

I took biochem senior year and that was fine. Taking it junior year wouldn't be the worst, but it looks like you are already taking a lot.

Save biochem for senior year. Anatomy and physics will be time-consuming. Just focus on doing actual practice for the MCAT instead of taking upper-class courses that will only help you somewhat.

I would put it off to your senior year - it sounds like you'll be taking a heavy courseload. Also, biochem won't specifically help you for the MCAT - it'll reinforce certain topics (some of which you'll also see in Advanced cell bio) but there isn't a whole lot of specific biochemistry topics tested on the MCAT.
