hey everyone, just looking for some insight for my schedule for next semester. I just finished my freshman year and am wondering what you guys think would be the best way to plan my schedule for the fall. Pre-req wise I have already take: Bio I/II, Bio Lab, Gen Chem I/II, and Calc I
Here is what my schedule looks like so far:
Elementary Latin (to fulfill my language requirement)
Brain and Behavior (Neurosci. Major requirement)
Orgo I/Orgo I Lab
Art History (to fulfill my fine arts requirement)
here are my options:
#1 Genetics
#2 Physics
While I was thinking about taking Physics I this semester as well, I am a little nervous about pairing Physics with Orgo (chem is not my strongest subject - Gen chem was the only course so far I received Bs in 🙁). I do feel confident with my physics background, but I don't want to jeopardize doing well because I paired it with orgo. The obvious pro would be that I could start studying for the MCAT the summer after my sophomore year. I want to have enough time to study, take a prep course, and take it enough times to get a competitive score and still send my apps. out early. (Basically, not wait to the last minute and only take the ACT/SAT once - I did well but not as well as I would have if I prepared and took it multiple times)
Would it be sensible to take Genetics this semester and Physics I/II in the summer next year so I will be able to start studying for the MCAT in the fall to take it hopefully in January of my junior year? What would you guys suggest?
